Waves - This is quite nice and soothing. Nice to have it down low when our lying down or going to sleep.
Wonderful for palying at night - I am a light sleeper, and have tried noise machines, a nature sounds clock, and have searched for a nature CD with no squawking birds or short, annoying loops. THIS IS IT. I put in in the player, hit repeat, and snooze...
Pure and simple - No music, no voices, just the ocean flowing. I feel like I am at the ocean instead of in the city when I play it.
This does the trick - A lifelong insomniac living on a street corner in a busy town, I needed this disk to mask the sounds of car doors slamming and people making Indy 500 U-turns under my window. No complaints at all with this disk: no birds to jolt you awake, no fog-horns, just waves on the beach. It is soft in places, and fades to quiet at the very end but that s not necessarily a problem. Sounds like the waves at Assateague on a mild surf day.
Very relaxing - My wife and I use this to help fall asleep and it works very well. My only small criticism is that, initially, we have to turn the volume up quite a bit to hear the dimmer ocean sounds then, when the first wave comes crashing down, just about get knocked out of bed. It s not a big deal--we just adjust the volume at that point and it s fine and it s likely this is due to our hearing difficulty and not a fault of the disc.
